Aztec pyramids and civilization
Teotihuacán is an archaelogical site about 40kms north of Mexico City with some of the largest pyramids in the world. Built by the Aztecs, Teotihuacán was the largest pre-Columbian city in the Americas with a population of 150,000 at its height.
The extensive complex contains two large pyramids, the Sun Pyramid and the Moon Pyramid, plus other interesting constructions along the Avenue of the Dead such as the Temple of Quetzalcoatl as well as a museum. You can climb up the two pyramids.
