Where it's Christmas all year round
Tlalpujahua is famous for its Christmas ornaments. Whole families in this former mining town are experts at glass-blowing and decorating ornaments, and millions of esferas are exported to US and Canada. In November and December stands are set up around the town selling Christmas decorations of all kinds.
Tlalpujahua also has one of the most beautiful churches in Mexico, made of pink stone, overlooking the rest of the town. Just outside the town are the remains of the church that was buried by a landslide. Only the bell-tower remains, in the middle of a field.
