100% Mexican
Mexico's Dia de Muertos celebrations at the end of October and beginning of November are full of colour and in most homes, an ofrenda is set up to honour dead relatives. Sugar skulls, catrina skeletons, cempasuchil flowers and papel picado are just some of the elements of this 100% Mexican fiesta. San Angel is a great place to visit during the Day of the Dead festival. Check out the ofrenda in the Casa del Risco, photograph the stands in the market and discover the mummies in the Ex-Convento del Carmen. The Museo de Dolores Olmedo also has some spectacular exhibitions.
